Nichole "Swede" Aldridge

Coach Nichole Aldridge is a highly accomplished former collegiate pitcher and dedicated instructor with a passion for helping young athletes reach their full potential.
A proud graduate of Tatum High School, Nichole was the varsity starting pitcher all four years and earned numerous accolades, including:

After graduating with a B.S. in Accounting, Nichole began coaching in 2019, offering private and group lessons to players of all ages. Her commitment to player development and passion for teaching led her to establish Swede Softball Academy, where she combines technical instruction with mental training to build confident, well-rounded competitors.
In 2024, she also played a key role in founding the Sharks Fastpitch Organization, further expanding her impact on the game by mentoring young athletes across East Texas.
Coach Aldridge’s experience, leadership, and genuine love for the sport continue to inspire every player who walks through the door because at Swede Softball Academy, she’s not just building better athletes… she’s building stronger competitors and confident young women.

Bio:
Coach Becca McGough brings exceptional experience, leadership, and passion for athlete development to Swede Softball Academy. A former collegiate player and high school head coach, she has dedicated her career to helping young athletes reach their full potential — both on and off the field.
Becca’s softball journey began in travel ball, where she quickly earned the respect of her teammates and was voted team captain, showcasing strong leadership at a young age.
At Brownsboro High School, she became a standout shortstop and earned numerous honors, including:

She was a Dean’s List honoree during both her freshman and sophomore years before transferring to the University of Texas at Tyler, where she earned a B.S. in Mathematics with a minor in Computer Science.
After medically retiring from collegiate play, Becca turned her focus to coaching and mentoring athletes. She began coaching travel softball teams in 2019 and later took on a recruiting coordinator role in 2021, helping players navigate the college recruiting process. In 2023, she became the head softball coach at Brownsboro High School, continuing to lead, teach, and inspire young athletes.
In 2024, she played an instrumental role in launching the Sharks Fastpitch Organization, further expanding her reach as a coach and mentor. Today, as part of the Swede Softball Academy staff, Coach McGough combines her deep knowledge of the game, technical skill, and passion for athlete development to help players grow with confidence, purpose, and grit.
Coach Becca’s mission is simple: teach the game the right way, build players who love it, and help them chase excellence. One rep at a time.
